Quake, 1994

all the world was shaking
and the glass was breaking
the day she broke my balls
my screams bounce off the walls
my fears stung in my tears
my ears rang with her jeers
and she laughed at my shock:
"your keys don't fit my lock"
the whirlwind of her fury
chilled my dreams in a hurry
and I spend time in bars
try to drink away scars
the memories of what we had
jammed together make me sad
I stumble down alleys
gotta read love's galleys
broken heart all wiped out
token start got my doubts
try to see the tart
in the break, what's my part?
